Game Review:

Desert Operations is an OSG with a refreshing modern-warfare theme.
The most impressive aspect of the game is the graphics. There are some great 3d rendering that really convey the feel of leading a South American drug cartel.
The number one resource in Desert Operations is money. This is generated by your “residential houses” and “skyscrapers”, and is used to build pretty much everything. The other resources are ammunition, oil, and gold. The ammunition is used by your soldiers every time they go into battle. Similar to Nile Online or Torpia, oil is refined into Kerosene and Diesel, which is consumed by your tanks and aircraft every time they go into battle.
One interesting asepct of the game is that most of the buildings have “extensions”. For example, in the Barracks there are extensions for “Tank Exercise” and “Firing Range” that are needed to build tanks and foot soldiers respectively. This could be a little confusing as it may be hard to find the extensions you’re trying to build. Also, each builing can only be built in its specific slot, meaning when the tutorial says “Build a University”, you have to click around to find the right slot.

Game Review:

Florensia is a 3D fantasy MMORPG published by Alaplaya. The game offers something that I’m surprised a lot of other MMORPGs don’t, access to the sea. Unlike traditional MMORPGs, Florensia lets players access both the land and sea and players have to play both aspects of the game if they expect to progress. In order to leave the starting continent players have the physically get on their boat and fight their way through the seas to a new city.

Ether Saga Online is cartoony game with an oriental theme and music. There are three races to chose from (the Ren, Shenzu, and Yaoh), but each share the same six classes. Each race starts with a unique pet, which aids the player in combat, but starting at level 15 players are free to catch any creature they choose and raise it as a pet. The abilitiy to distribute earned points among different elements rather than stats adds another a layer of originality to Ether Saga Online.  Overall, the game looks and plays like many other games in the genre. The presentation and graphics are sharper than previous games since Ether Saga is a recent game, developed by the same team behind Perfect World. The six classes are:
Rogue - Relies on stealth and cunning. Equipped with dual-poison tipped daggers, rogues make deadly opponents.
Dragoon - The main melee class who uses lances and serves the role of a tank in groups.
Conjurer - The primary offensive caster class that possesses the most powerful spells in the game. Conjurers use amulets to channel their power.  They wear light armor.
Ranger - Equipped with bow and arrow, the Ranger fights from a distance and is capable of disabling opponents with snares, traps, and other abilities.
Shaman - A hybrid class equipped with a powerful hammer and with the ability to cast healing and buffing spells. Shamans can serve as secondary tanks or supportive healers.
Mystic - The supportive class in Ether Saga. Mystics use staves and wear light armor but can cast heals and powerful buffs on their allies.

The free to play game is developed by Stairway Games and is being brought to the US by Perfect World Entertainment and WindySoft. Players can expect fast-paced gameplay, instanced dungeons and raids that require cooperation, and a variety of PvP modes. Unlike Dungeon Fighter Online, or Fists of Fu, Rusty Hearts has 3D environments which allow for a wider range of action. The art is anime inspired, but highly stylish which helps the game stand out. Game Review:

You may already have some idea of how to train your dragons thanks to Cressida Cowell, but do you know how to breed them? If you don’t, you can fill in that regrettable gap in your fantasy credentials by playing Social Point’s Dragon City, which lets you create over 150 versions of the winged monstrosities by tossing two dragons into a common pen and hoping for the best.
Of course, that also means it’s less of a “city” than a farm of sorts, and unfortunately, similar muddlings of purpose saturate the entire experience. You’ll still have a good time here if you enjoy smiling at the wide range of adorable and impressive dragon combinations Social Point reveals with each hatched egg, but the overall experience fizzles out after only a couple of hours.
